Mississippi State University Aquatic AMR Workshop

Mississippi State University recently received designation as an FAO Reference Center on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) and Aquaculture Biosecurity from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. This new Center is managed by the Global Center for Aquatic Health and Food Security.

This workshop on August 5, 2024, will bring together MSU scientists who work in the realm of aquatic AMR. The goals of the meeting are as follows:

  1. Raise awareness about the FAO Reference Center at MSU
  2. Inform faculty about how the FAO Reference Center can help them in scholarly pursuits
  3. Enable faculty to meet with each other and build collaborative relationships

Attendance at the workshop is by invitation only.

The workshop is sponsored by the Division of Agriculture, Forestry, and Veterinary Medicine, the Global Center for Aquatic Health and Food Security, and the FAO Reference Center on AMR and Aquaculture Biosecurity.
